As some of our customers might already know (or have seen), GAMINO DÉCOR had the amazing opportunity to work with HGTV on “A Very Brady Renovation.” This is a special series in which the six remaining actors from The Brady Bunch TV show teamed up with the stars from HGTV to renovate the home in Studio City, California that was used for many of the exterior shots on the show.
Truthfully, we had no idea that we were going to be working on the actual Brady house. The process started when we got a request for an estimate that showcased a bright yellow chair that a potential client wanted to have modified. It wasn’t until we met the wonderful designer, Anne Shea, that we learned that we would be working on the Brady Bunch house.
Once the original quote was approved, we were flooded with projects that needed to be done for the house. You have no idea how exciting this was for us! I think everyone has grown up watching this show. It’s an iconic piece of American culture.
The icing on the cake for us happened when show host, Jasmine Roth and Barry Williams (aka Greg Brady), came to visit our shop to talk about re-upholstering chairs from Mike Brady’s famous den. They took a look at everything we had going on and they got a real understanding of just how intricate the modifications had to be to make the furniture look like the original pieces from the show.

But for now, I’m going to close by saying that it was truly our honor to work on the show with the HGTV and Brady Bunch teams and to say again, how exciting it was to make the modifications needed to help bring this piece of Americana back to life!
