Your New Decor Palette – 2016 Colors Of The Year!

Pantone embraces the concept of “two is better than one”. For the first time ever, Pantone announced two colors for 2016. The new colors are a dynamic-duo, Rose Quartz and Serenity.

“Joined together, Rose Quartz and Serenity demonstrate an inherent balance between a warmer embracing rose tone and the cooler tranquil blue, reflecting connection and wellness as well as a soothing sense of order and peace,” says Pantone.

Rose Quartz, a delicate and feminine color, offers elegance and simplicity to any space. On the other hand, Serenity brings a rich yet soft tone with a relaxing and soothing vibe.

When combined, the colors create an inviting and fresh look that “challenges the traditional perception of color association.”

To incorporate these colors in your home this upcoming spring, add fresh flowers along with a plethora of fabrics. Pillows, throws, accent chairs and colored vases are easy ways to blend these two fresh colors. For an inviting feel, combine Rose Quartz and Serenity with creamy colors such as ivory. For a more edgy style, combine them with a sharp grey to add some contrast while maintaining soft color tones. For a twist, throw in plum, opal blue, gold, or peach!
