Van Nuys has a population of 110,740, and is located in the central San Fernando Valley region of the city of Los Angeles County.
The town was founded in 1911, and named after one of its developers: Isaac Newton Van Nuys. The city contains many visual landmarks including the Art Deco Valley Municipal Building (Van Nuys City Hall) and Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument. Van Nuys has many fun things to do including the Delano Park, which has an auditorium, barbecue pits, a lighted baseball diamond, lighted outdoor basketball courts, an indoor gymnasium, and much more.
